Hope you had a good break over the Summer Holidays. FC Toolbox is pleased to be able to provide after school football for Orchard Grove Primary School and we start again Monday 14th September.
Dates for sessions are as follows:
Monday 14th, 21st, 28th September &
Monday 5th, 12th 19th October
Session price for 2026 / 27 Autumn and Spring Terms remains at £6.00. There are 6 sessions until half term for each group so the cost will be £36.00 for Autumn #1.
Location
Training will be in the school playing field. Pick up for players will be at the school gate.
Kit
We do not require parents to purchase specific kit, replica kits and standard football shorts are fine as bibs will be used for mini games.
During normal training, players should have shin pads and boots with studs, however with the current dry conditions and warm weather either astro boots or firm trainers may be used. It is EXTREMELY important that a water bottle – with water in it! – is also available.
Currently for the first session back, if your child does not have shin pads, that is not a problem, however as we go into winter and the ground becomes slippery it will be necessary for children to have studded boots, long socks and shin pads for safety reasons.
Weather Policy
Our policy regarding forecasted weather is as follows:
Light Rain: Children are requested to bring ‘light coats’ or shower proof jackets. Coaching will be available and we will still play football outside. Parents may choose to collect their children if they do not want their child to play in the rain.
Heavy Rain: If forecast, football outside will be cancelled (normally by 9pm the previous day after checking the forecast) and a credit will be given for the missed session.
It may be possible that ‘Indoor’ football related games / activities will be conducted and we will remain on site to look after the children should work / other commitments mean you are unable to collect before 4.30pm. However this is depending on confirmation of an indoor space / classroom availability.
Lightning Risk: Children will not be allowed to play outside in the open if there is a risk of lightning regardless of whether the storm has finished locally.
Sunshine / Heat Risk:
Coaching staff are unable to apply sunscreen to children. During periods of hot weather, sun hats will be required and if parents wish their children to have sun screen applied, please do so prior to attending school or pop in to top up prior to the session. We will have regular water and rest breaks.
Communication
Teamer is closing, so we will use the mail system through our web site at FCToolbox.com. Copies of the information emailed will also appear as a stop-press entry on the web site…. So if in doubt, it’s a good place to go to for information. The emergency contact number is my mobile: 07977 915 965. If no response, again, please text – I will respond when able to.
Your coaching team is myself, Neil White (FA Level 2 Coach) Mike Woodward-Bennett (FA Level 2 Coach), Olivia Ely (FA Level 1 Coach) and Erin Moray (FA Playmaker). We aim to make the sessions enjoyable and fun whilst endeavouring to develop your child’s football skills.
If you have any queries or worries, please do not hesitate to email: neil.white@fctoolbox.com or Text me on 07977915965 and I will respond or call back ASAP. This will normally be after 3pm as I work at St George’s Primary School in Taunton and my phone access is restricted.
The forecast for Monday is good, so look forward to seeing you then!
